5 out of 5 "HiFi bargain"
In short if you enjoy the British hifi sound... you'll love the 640A V2. I think its a bargain even at twice the price. I am a big fan Musical Fidelity equipment and I think this is right there with the MF gear at half the price.

The 640A v2 has drive and is well suited for all music. I didn't think you can find this kind of refinement at this price. To be honest I was a skeptic of Cambridge Audio equipment until recently. Don't let the exterior fool you... it's mass market looks betray its capabilities. I'm not saying its ugly but it has a budget look to it. Lift the unit up and you soon realize the efforts were spent on the inside. There is a heft to it that belies its appearances. The sound is confident yet delicate and sweet. Transparency is very good too. Now I see why CA has gotten so much press over the years.

This is a great amp. I'm a new fan of Cambridge Audio.
