I have owned a pair of these since the 90s purchased through Richer Sounds. They have served well as speakers in both my children's bedrooms and performed fairly well. Most recently I have connected them up to my PC in a my office and driven them from a Cambridge Audio ATAC3 amp. What a delight, they have a lovely mellow sound with a good all around sound. My set up is by no means top end but neither are these speakers but it call comes together very nicely providing brilliant sound in a small office. I also have a pair of Eltax Millennium Minis that are also a joy to listen to with the same setup. I'm still not sure which will stay around longer, the Eltax Minis are considerably smaller but I think on balance I prefer the sound of the JPWs.

Weirdly, just like the only other reviewer of these speakers here, I too purchased them from Richer Sounds in Bristol, sometime in the late 90s, I think. I just got them out of the loft with a view to selling them, hooked them up to a 1970s amp and was amazed how good they sound. I have some large floor standing speakers that were high end when built in the 70s, and refurbished professionally last year, and the JPWs give them a run for their money. I am no audiophile, but to me, for their size and what they originally cost, they sound awesome, filling my large lounge-diner with sound.

Great speakers for affordable price (in the 90s, at Richer Sounds, Bristol, UK). Lovely warm sound and fine hi fidelity output, from these bookshelfers... Great when coupled with a Kenwood KA-amp series, and fine, robust construction.
