I bought these when they were new in 1990, and drive them with a Rotel RCD 955 CD and an Arcam Alpha 3 amp. They were really big sounding, dynamic speakers that made everthing sound live. Great for opera, The Pixies, The KLF and parties. Not so good for Suzanne Vega, where there is some tizz in the treble, and small bedrooms where you can't get them far enough from the wall to tighten up all that bass and it goes woolly. My Dad still has the pair I bought, and they still kick out the bass and do a fine job with The Mama and the Papas and the Beatles. Made in Denmark, these were well reviewed at the time and have certainly showed good build quality and look just like new after 22 years. If I still had them I'd recap them now, but I don't know if anyone else would worry.
