Great full range speakers for whatever genre of music you like to listen to. I have had a pair in my office as bookshelf/near-field monitors for many years. These speakers work well with any amplification whether it be a Super-T Amp or my valve mono blocks, they are happy been driven with all loads. I have newer speakers around my home, but I am still very happy with the L100’s studio quality sound. I have considered upgrading the crossovers with Janzen Audio crossover kits http://www.troelsgravesen.dk/JBL_L100.htm or possible just replacing some of the older caps to newer hi-fi/hi-end audio grade caps.
The better the source I use, the better the sound that comes out of these speakers, I just love them the way they are.
