5 out of 5 "They were the best in our shop!"
I used to sell these at an East Coast hifi store back in the '70s.
They blew away the Large Advents and Genesis 2s we also sold, and were even more involving than the fine Yamaha NS-1000s we had in our "hi end" room. Iggy, Bowie, Clash, etc. sounded GREAT on these with Nelson Pass designed Nakamichi separates.
Not as dynamic as horns but dynamics are good with exceptional tone! Sound great with Class A solid state.
Just bought a pair in good shape for $300 and they're being re-caped as of this post- can't wait to re-unite with these old friends!

5 out of 5 "Repairing crossovers"
Just repairing these crossovers and each requires elcap 50v 1 x 72mfd, 1 x 60mfd, 2 x 30mfd, 1x 16mfd, 1 x 12mfd, 1 x 8mfd capacitors per crossover. Also 1 x W24 2R2 resistor. Hope this helps somebody.

5 out of 5 "Fantastic Speakers"
I have put these speakers through so much abuse over the years, playing virtually every kind of music, (mostly at party levels) and they are still as responsive, as sharp as they were when my dad bought them over 30 years ago, surviving many a drunken night playing ZZ-Top at full volume. These speakers stand strong with superb definition of sound. I will never want for another pair of Speakers ever again.

4 out of 5 "Celestion Ditton 33"
I have owned many Celestion speakers, H, C, (county) Ditton15s, 22s 44s but in my opinion the best all-rounder’s are the 33s. Their sound stage and naturally “flat” sound range is exceptional, considering their size and price and they sound best mounted on 10”- 15” stands and in open space, i.e. not near side or back walls. They also benefit from being driven by “current-plentiful” amplifiers, not just those with lots of watts!
As any of these speakers that you can buy now are going to be 30+ years old, I would recommend that you replace the crossover capacitors with new Polypropylene non-polarized reversible capacitors (“Solen” are a good make) and re-wire the internals with good quality speaker cable (I use QED silver anniversary) When putting them back together again use plenty of silicon sealing compound in order to make them air-tight, as they were designed as “closed-box” enclosures. Then sit back and enjoy!

5 out of 5 "Superb Floorstanding Loudspeaker"
I own these and the larger Ditton 44. The sound quality is excellent they have a cast 10" woofer which gives a full bass and the dome tweeter provides a sweet treble.
They were manufactured by Rola Celestion of Ipswich, Suffolk, UK in the 1970's and were rated as best buys by Which magazine at the time.
